Wynchester began rather humbly in the San Fernando Valley back in 2012 as an excuse for Singer/Guitarist Mike Bray and Guitarist/Singer John Konesky to have some material to play at a jam night at their favorite local watering hole. It wasn’t long before the pair knew their creative chemistry deserved more than local dive bars. They got to work writing, and released their first EP, Spreading the Gospel of Good Times, in 2014. It was an early glimpse into their ability to create a kind of country music that wasn’t as easily labeled as what you may typically hear. The classic influences are present, but there’s also subtle touches from outside the world of country... from Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, and even Heavy Metal. Thematically Wynchester leans into vivid imagery, creating portraits of wild degenerates, outlandish tales, and colorful characters. The ultimate effort being to craft a sound that is unmistakably theirs.

Further in that direction was their first full length album, released in 2018. They went on to tour that album, first on a short tour supporting The Allman Betts Band in 2018, and later went on to tour extensively supporting Tenacious D throughout the US and EU/UK. They were touring Europe when the pandemic started which all but put a halt on everything, as it did for many touring acts. Wynchester took the opportunity to put the finishing touches on their new album which is due out Summer of 2023.

Seeing this as a new beginning, Wynchester plan to jump on every possible opportunity to spread their sophomore album out into world and get their music in front of as many potential fans as possible. With a new live band consisting of some incredible session and touring musicians they’ve had the pleasure of working with on their albums, they are building out a live show that is not to be missed and crafting a catalog of unique material that stands out on its own.
